Riftbound Announces Radiance Pre-Rift Events Starting October 16

Riftbound is preparing for the upcoming Radiance set with a series of Pre-Rift events. Starting Friday, October 16, local game stores will begin hosting these social, casual Sealed format events. While the events begin on Friday, the Pre-Rift window remains open for one week, allowing players to check local schedules for registration.

The Pre-Rift experience is designed as a Sealed format, meaning players build decks using only the cards they open during the event. Each participant receives a kit containing five Radiance Booster Packs and a champion pack themed around one of nine new Legends. Kits also include a Heimerdinger, Academy Instructor promo card, though this specific promo cannot be included in the Sealed deck.

The new Radiance set introduces several mechanics, including Disarm, Deploy, and Show Off. Players can explore these keywords through various seeded Legends such as Ekko, Evelynn, and Jarvan IV. Because the format is Sealed, deckbuilding rules require a minimum Main Deck size of 25 cards, with players limited to the specific number of card copies they pull from their packs.
