Magic: The Gathering Foundations Commander Decks Announced

Magic: The Gathering has revealed the lineup for the upcoming Foundations Commander decks. Releasing on October 2, 2026, alongside Reality Fracture, these products are designed to introduce players to the multiplayer Commander format through straightforward, monocolor strategies.

The collection consists of five distinct decks: Calling All Angels, Keen Engineering, Wretched Ranks, Reign of Dragons, and Tramplesaurus Rex. Each deck is built around a specific theme, ranging from big creatures and Dragons to artifact-based gameplay.

Every Commander deck is a complete 100-card package. This includes one traditional foil face commander featuring borderless art, 99 non-foil cards, 10 non-foil double-sided tokens, a reference card, and a deck box.

These decks aim to provide an accessible entry point for new players while remaining viable for longtime enthusiasts. Preorders for the Foundations Commander decks are currently available through local game stores and major online retailers.
