Disney Lorcana TCG Hyperia City Set Release Notes

The upcoming Hyperia City set for Disney Lorcana TCG introduces several significant mechanical shifts and rules clarifications. A primary addition is the introduction of Ink Drops, which act as counters used to help pay ink costs. These are not cards and are not shuffled into the deck, but can be kept nearby to be placed into the inkwell when specified by a card effect.

Players will also encounter the new Adventurous keyword, which requires characters to quest for lore. This mechanic is distinct from the Reckless keyword, which focuses on challenging. Additionally, the Gargoyle characters return with the Stone by Day ability, a mechanic that prevents characters from readying if a player has three or more cards in hand.

Beyond new mechanics, the release includes comprehensive rules updates. These include streamlining how 'enters' effects function by moving them from replacement effects to static effects, and adjusting how multiple players resolve effects where they must act at the same time.
